Our company is constantly evolving and growing.

The Problem

Our Solution

Full-thickness endoscopic suturing for tissue closure, bariatric therapy, and stent/graft fixation is one of the areas with significant clinical unmet needs. Currently, no good solutions exist for tissue approximation and closure of large gastrointestinal defects endoscopically. Endoscopic clips are only effective for mucosa closure and small size defects and the endoscopic  suturing devices on the market are very cumbersome, difficult to use, and high cost often precludes usage.

EnVision Endoscopy is developing a novel image guided suturing system (IGSS) for use with flexible endoscopes to address these clinical needs. The device is single use, disposable, and an attachment to standard flexible endoscopes. No special scope is required, it is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. This novel technique reduces the number of steps and procedure time at a low cost, that allows access to a greater number of gastroenterologists and surgeons.

Financing Goals

EnVision Endoscopy’s work to date has been focused on creating a foundation for our approach. With non-dilutive capital from Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MassNextGen awardee), National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), and MassChallenge Boston Platinum winner 2019, we have shown the proof of our technology in an animal model. We have developed successful collaborations allowing us to be exceptionally capitally efficient. With our Seed Funding, we plan to advance our technology, perform product development and testing required for FDA clearance of our Image Guided Suturing System (IGSS).
